Talk about error messages, huh?

Wow. Never have borat write down error messages. No, seriously ;-)

Great idea, Francisco!

Earlier this morning we got an email from one of our first users with a feed URL to subscribe to. Francisco set up a project on Goplan to try out the application and has been using the blog (whose RSS feed anyone can subscribe to if they know the URL) to send us instant bug reports and feedback by RSS. Here’s his feed. Amazing idea!

If you decide to do the same (create a project for feedback, and send us the blog feed url by email), we’ll be getting your feedback instantly (and if you’d like, we’ll publish the feed here so others can read it as well).

Rush hour

4 hours have past since we opened up, and boy did I miss the rush of launching products. We’ve sent around 150 invites so far and (as explained in the previous post) plan to expand slowly. If you didn’t get one yet, hold on tight, it’ll be with you soon.

Some quick tidbits

Right after launch we got our first feedback email about goplan blowing up (see what I mean by “its not really really final yet”?) and managed to fix it pretty fast. Everyone else seems to be settling in fine. However, please do send us feedback - its the best way to know how to better evolve the product until public launch and in the future. Thanks!

Opening doors

The moment we (and hopefully some of you) have been waiting for is here. We’re finally sending out more invites to Goplan, our online project management and collaboration tool. It did take a while, but we’re not big fans of bells and whistles when something isn’t quite ready. Well, now it is - not the final version, or we’d let everyone in, but it’s pretty close so we’re sharing the love.

We’re also opening up this weblog where you can keep up with the latest updates on Goplan, so subscribe to the RSS feed or keep checking in every once in a while.

Invite information

We’re inviting a few dozen people and giving each 5 invites. Every once in a while for the next 3 weeks of testing and listening to user feedback, we’ll be sending invites to new people and giving invitees a few more of their own to share with their friends and colleagues.

We’re doing it this way because we want to scale things smoothly. Even though we now have the platform to take on as many users as we may need (oh, the joys of virtualization - more on the infrastructure in a future post), we still want to listen to the feedback of this first batch of users to finally open up completely and deliver a great product.

A little more information

For those of you who aren’t in the invite list and still want to see how Goplan is, check the flickr set for the development stage where a few screenshots have been posted in the past couple of months. There’s also the first post we wrote about goplan, and an update a month ago.
