30 min downtime for maintenance today

We’re working hard on fine-tuning the live Goplan servers. In order to do that, we’ll have to bring Goplan down for around 30 minutes (possibly much less than that). So today, from 11AM PST (19:00 GMT) to about 11:30AM, your access to the servers may be limited or non-existant. However worry not, we’ll bring it back up right after we finish. As always, let us know should any issue arise, meanwhile or after the updates.

Update: Goplan is back up (and much faster).

Comments:

hi. what development platform you guys using to build goplan on? Rails? Django? something else?

regards,
alan

Hi Alan - Goplan was built on top of Ruby on Rails, although it has a significant amount of code that’s “stand alone”.

Hi Fred. Thanks for that! We’re also (isn’t everyone) building a web app - not geared towards project management though - but geared towards building small, simple, light websites with (and then some). I’m just checking to see what other folks out there are using.

Btw, I really like the design of GoPlan. One almost thinks 37signals has cornered this market (in terms of design) and then you guys show us there is so much more one can do. ;)
