We have just (really, seriously) launched!

After quite a long period in testing, and a longer period of development we’re proud to say we’re officially launching Goplan. We couldn’t be happier, and we hate selling our own solution (because we’re biased - we love it!), but we believe we have a pretty compelling product to manage online projects.

Goplan

There’s obvious (and great) competition from our friends at 37Signals, the guys at Zoho, and even in the open-source Activecollab. But because none of those actually did it for us and our needs, we decided to build and launch our own product. We have our own set of features, and we have a pretty serious value proposition: giving you the right tools and flexibility, and getting out of your way.

We paid attention to what the blogosphere was saying and to what testers left in our feedback system, and built a solution around the needs of the majority of people. We won’t say we have the perfect product, but the problem is no-one does.

Anyway, get to the Goplan homepage (goplan.info) and hit the application (goplan.org) if you’re ready to sign-up! Oh, and final screenshots are on Flickr!

Congrats!! I hope the launch is a flaming success with many new users and few unresolvable issues!

Oh damn you Jared! ;-) Thanks!

Congratulations on the launch guys. I’m looking forward to working with goplan even more than I am doing at present.

Congrats dude! Great news!

Congratulations guys! It’s great to see a group of people creating and launching a project from Portugal. All the best for the new application!

Congrat’s all. I’ve been using GoPlan for a few weeks after trying out Backpack and Basecamp. They are good products but just weren’t … right. This is.

I made a few suggestions a week ago, and within a couple of days they were implemented! Nice work all around…

wow… cool, btw i really need you goplan..but can you support moneybookers for the payment, please… can you collaboration with moneybookers for transfer payment coz paypal refuse my country (indonesia). we will appreciate it.

thanks

Hey, congratulation on the seriously launched.

Unfortunately i can upgrade my account yet, because i don’t have paypal’s account. Could you please support other payment gateway. Just like Anggi said, one of it is Moneybookers.

BTW, i like the website design.

congrats on the launch, looks great.
but you guys should add a “forgot your password” unter the login field (i know that ones comes up after a bad login, but that’snot good enough) :)

Parabens!!!

When’s the launch party? ;)
Best of luck in this new adventure. (customer support!) :P

Os meus parabéns!

anggi krisna and Kuswanto:

We may add more payment methods in the future but for the moment we’re only supporting Paypal.
Also I believe Paypal is available (but may have issues that we’re not aware of) in Indonesia since last October.

Setting up a free account is really annoying. If calendar, chat aren’t available then don’t have them there. When I selected them I had to reenter everything in again. Try to make it easier to set up an account.

I second what Yosef says on the fact that everything disappears when the error message pops up in the right column.

Parabéns pessoal! :)

Hope you get a lot of satisfied subscribers :D

Is there some sort of forum where users can talk to other users, and maybe the developers too?

I’ve tried and set aside BaseCamp, Airset, ClockingIT, Central Desktop, MozDesktop, Zoho, and a couple others. I’d love to see if/how Tasks interact with the Calendar (for example, if I set a due date for a task, does that task then appear in the Calendar on that date? What about to other group members?), but:

1. I can’t even see how the Calendar works without paying $10 for a paid account. Even the competition lets you see how *all* the features work for a month for free, and then locks out those features after the free trial period elapses.

2. There’s no description of how things work anywhere on the site. There are exactly 10 lines of feature listings, but that’s it. The only way to really see how it works is to sign up and try it. But see #1 above.

3. Talking to other users to see how it works for them would be OK too, but there’s no forum that I can find.

Catch-22! Anyone have any thoughts?
