Goplan’s been tweaked

Pedro Freitas on March 22, 2007, Comments (9)

Due to some excellent feedback we’ve received recently, some improvements have been made regarding task behaviour and ical calendar subscription.

Hope we’ve made the right changes! Thank you, once again, for all the great feedback!

Hey, you should put a big ol’ link to your homepage (not blog homepage) somewhere on this blog site. I came over here from my rss reader and can’t find one.

Kudos,

Mark

Hello,

If you want to outrun 37signals, you must at least match the quality of their svn blog.

So instead of just enumerating the changes, you could put them in a better light(something like svn’s design decisions). This way you can attract more product evangelists.

Best luck,
Silv

Silv, we don’t want to outrun 37signals. Not their blog, at least. We just want to build a great product (and if there’s any hint of competition, it’ll be on those grounds). This being said (and as we’ve said before), we’ll shed some more light on the why’s and how’s of Goplan very soon. Thanks for the comment!

[...] things like would certainly improve the proposition (although it looks like there have been some tweaks): [...]

Little task-handling related issue: assigning a due date of “March 27″ will set the year to 2008 - not the expected 2007.

Thanks, Ben

Yeah, tell us what you changed, not just that stuff changed.

Hi, I just signed up for a paid account and have planning to switch from basecamp from goplan for all my projects - just because there is a missing feature in basecamp - Issue Tracking.

However, as I started entering new tickets, I found out that file upload in new ticket doesn’t work at all. Sometimes I encountered an Internal Server 500 Error, or even when the file upload was successfully, there is no place to view the uploaded file in the Ticket detail page. Not to mention that I cannot upload a new file or replace the old one using Edit Ticket.

Any clue? I tried Safari and Firefox and both rendered the same problems. But the general file upload function under “Files” did work for me though. So I believe it has nothing to do with my browser/computer.

Much appreciated for any help. Would love to see GoPlan growing and have a Wiki or forum for support. I know this is not the right place to post support questions. Sorry about that!

Hi,

Having been playing around with this and very much like the clean interface and options. As a company who manage many projects it would be very useful to be able to create template style projects so that there isnt the need to add the same category types and details each time. Our projects are all very similar so this would be a very useful feature.

Thanks

Ronnie

Hey,

We’re working on Goplan fixes and new features and we’ll consider this.
