Subtask reordering
A few Goplan users have requested the ability to reorder subtasks. Now you’re able to do it!
Let us know if you find any issues and feel free to send us feedback for new features/improvements.

Our hosting provider (Engine Yard) will be performing some maintenance operations on the servers. The maintenance is scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday 26th) morning at 7AM GMT (25th 11PM PST) and should last for about two hours.
No downtime is expected and an increase in capacity is expected after the operation.
We’d like to thank all Goplan users who took the time to answer our survey.
We’re now analyzing the results and soon enough we’ll post some conclusions and update our roadmap.
Thanks for all the feedback and if you have anything to add feel free to contact the support team or use the feedback form within the application itself.
It’s now been 6 months since we first officially opened to the public, and a about a year after we opened the first version to a limited number of users - so these are exciting times. In 6 months we managed to evolve our initial set of features, improve our service and grow a substantial audience. But we need your help.
We have been thinking about next steps and we are considering a major update to Goplan with not only a batch of functionality updates but new features. We have our own (and huge) list of things to add, update and (eek!) remove. Here’s where you come in: in the past few months we’ve been listening for the feedback you guys left on our blog, through our feedback system (on the bottom of every page of Goplan) and email.
So hey, we have a survey where you can chime in on both our current set of features as well as on things we’re considering for implementation. It’ll help us build new (and hopefully fantastic) stuff to help you in your projects - so if you want to help us out, it’s just 12 questions, and they’re all optional. We’ll post our findings after we collect a decent number of answers and keep you updated on what’s coming.

Following the PayPal issues mentioned here, we temporarily suspended the payment verification for paid plans. We are now re enabling that verification so if your account gets locked due to non-payment because of this Paypal issue please email us at [email protected] so we can take care of it for you.
As per our previous announcements, we’ve just completed moving Goplan to new servers at Engine Yard. The move will result in a noticeable performance increase, particularly for those of you using SSL with paid accounts - we already did a few internal tests and we were quite pleasantly surprised with the access speeds, which means hopefully you will be too.
The move took a little less time than we anticipated, and DNS should be propagating now - which means the next time you see the Goplan login screen, you’ll be looking at the brand new servers. As Tiago mentioned in a previous post, we’re keeping with the best of two worlds by keeping our automated backup solution to Amazon’s S3 (which means your data is always secure and available) and moving the main server instances to a stable managed solution still scaleable to fit our needs. So these are great news.
All this being said, enjoy the new Goplan speeds and as always, we’re looking for your feedback - so if you have any, leave a comment or send our support team an email.
As mentioned before, Goplan will be down next Sunday (September 9th).
So here is our planned schedule:
For those of you using caching DNS servers that don’t update that often, we will provide a workaround.
So if everything works out as planned we will be down for about 3 hours, after which you should be able to resume using Goplan.
Following our performance issues and complaints from several Goplan users, we’ve decided to move Goplan away from EC2 into Engine Yard‘s new cluster.
Why are we moving?
We’re moving because we believe we can serve you better by doing so. Engine Yard will provide us with a better, more reliable and higher performance service.
The technical bit:
Goplan users will greatly benefit from the hardware load balancers that Engine Yard uses in their cluster, this makes a huge difference for HTTPS connections. Having a good shared disk infrastructure will also allow us to make some architectural changes that will improve the overall responsiveness of the application.
Does this mean we’re dropping Amazon Web Services?
No, we’ll continue using Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) for the file storage and we plan on using EC2 for other projects. Just not for Goplan (see the technical bit above).
When will this happen?
The move will occur during the next Sunday (September 9th) but we’ll give you an update with a timeframe as Goplan will have to be offline for a few hours.
We’re trying to be as open as possible about this so feel free to ask any questions in the comments or in the forum.
